I just collected my visa and the tickets and all the travel documents, now need to prepare for the assignment. As we will be using the USAID OCA (Organization Capacity Assessment) Tool I need to print it out and get the details top of mind so that I can facilitate the assessment smoothly.
I was quite skeptical regarding the tool at first but when I sat through the initial tot project in the Netherlands I quickly changed my mind. Dr Rebecca Furth of Initiatives Inc did a good job of introducing the tool as well as facilitating the discussions regarding lessons learned during using the tool. However I still have my doubts regarding using it as a participatory tool.
